MISSION:
The Supper Society exists to help newcomers better acclimate and integrate into Canadian society and become engaged and contributing citizens by connecting them with established residents who aspire to support newcomers to the country.
VISION:
The Supper Society provides a mutually-beneficial connection between established residents and newcomers, by providing a means to break bread together, build bonds of mutual trust and respect through social learning, and contribute to the social success of future Canadians.
VALUES:
The Supper Society values mutually-beneficial opportunities to share and learn from each other. It is our hope that these connections will generate friendships as well, but there is no obligation to maintain contact or an ongoing friendship after the initial meeting.
We also promote safety and respect. While the spirit is to invite newcomers into homes for a meal, a restaurant is also an option for those who are uncomfortable with opening up their home for whatever reason.
